New Parelli statement regarding helmetsThis was posted on the facebook Parelli Natural Horsemanship site yesterday:
Our goal at Parelli Natural Horsemanship is to make the world a better place for horses and humans, and a critical component of that goal is safety. We support any protective gear - including helmets - that gives the rider a safer experience, and we require children under the age of 18 and recommend beginners wear helmets no matter the circumstances. We encourage each rider to thoroughly evaluate their situation, enroll in a training program and research and consider all available protective gear and safety procedures.
I think it's an improvement over the the past. Hope it is backed up.

Well about time too! And going to be uncharitable now and stick my tongue out at all those on the SC who insist it's ok not to wear one and you know who I mean

About time someone saw some sense. Thousands of beginner riders, and not one helmet in sight is about the stupidest thing a chief instructor can allow that I know of except no boots or lace up boots.
